At The Silk Theory, every order is handmade, packaged with care, and shipped as quickly as possible. Please review our shipping information below before placing your order.
Processing Time
All products are handmade in small batches to ensure quality and freshness.
- Orders are typically processed within 2–5 business days.
- During product launches, sales, holidays, or high-volume periods, processing times may be extended.
- You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.
Summer Shipping Policy
Because our body butters are made with natural butters and oils, they may soften or melt when exposed to high temperatures during transit.
To help reduce the risk of products sitting in hot delivery trucks or warehouses over the weekend:
During the summer months (May–September), orders containing body butters will be shipped Monday through Wednesday only.
Orders placed after Wednesday may be held until the following Monday to ensure the best possible condition upon arrival.
Please note:
- Slight softening or melting does not affect the quality, safety, or effectiveness of the product.
- If your body butter arrives softened or melted, place it in a cool area or refrigerator for 30–60 minutes to allow it to firm back up.
- Natural temperature changes may alter the texture or appearance of whipped products.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:
- Package weight
- Destination
- Shipping method selected
Delivery Times
Once shipped, estimated delivery times are:
- Standard Shipping: 2–7 business days
- Expedited Shipping: 1–3 business days (when available)
Please note that delivery estimates are provided by the shipping carrier and are not guaranteed.
Incorrect Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
If an incorrect address is entered:
- The customer is responsible for any additional shipping fees required to reship the package.
- We are not responsible for packages delivered to incorrectly entered addresses.
Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages
Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery is under the carrier’s control.
The Silk Theory is not responsible for:
- Carrier delays
- Lost packages
- Stolen packages marked as delivered
- Weather-related shipping interruptions
If your package is lost or delayed, please contact the shipping carrier directly and reach out to us if you need assistance filing a claim.
Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damaged item(s)
- Photos of the shipping packaging
We will review each situation and work toward an appropriate resolution.
